This Robot cart was designed to fold for continent storage or transportation. It was also made to have storage shelves for batteries and the drivers station. Hinges were located at the bottom of the shelf (piano hinge) unit and at the front of the flat bed (axle through bushings), allowing flat bed to fold up out of the way so the the shelves could fold under the flat bed (right image).
